One of the most significant changes for 2026 is the introduction of the Vaping Products Duty.
The Date: 1 October 2026
The Cost: £2.20 tax per 10ml (applies to all e-liquids)

The Government is likely going to target “child-appealing” flavours such as sweets and desserts. While a complete "ban" on all non-tobacco flavours isn't confirmed, restrictions on sweet or dessert flavours are expected by 2026 to align with the new enforcement landscape. -
Standardised packaging
Regulations may force e-liquids into plain or standardised packaging (similar to cigarettes) to reduce their visual appeal. This would mean removing bright colours and elaborate branding from bottles and boxes.
