The two devices are quite similar, and for that reason, so are their box contents. You get the complete set-up in the box; you just need to pick out your favourite e-liquid, and you’re ready to go

Design and Build Quality

Both devices are spectacular pieces of vaping hardware, perfect for beginner MTL vaping. They have an almost identical size and shape, with sleek and stylish designs allowing you to match your device to your style.

The Xlim V2 comes in 18 colours in a sturdy aluminium finish, whereas the newer Xlim Pro comes in only 12 colours but with the new gleam effect in a shiny zinc alloy body.

Both devices are quite durable, but what are their power outputs? With the Xlim V2, you get a 900 mAh built-in battery, allowing for a maximum output of 25 watts, which is not bad. However, with the new Xlim Pro, you get an upgraded 1000 mAh built-in battery, allowing for a maximum output of 30 watts!

With the extra 5 watts from the Xlim Pro, you can properly indulge in some tasty Restricted-Direct-to-Lung vaping, which we’ll get into later.

On the right side of both devices, you’ll find the ergonomic airflow control system with a simple and effective sliding mechanism. Open up the airflow for a more airy draw, or close it up to get a more intense hit.

Lastly, to charge your device, a USB Type-C charging port is located on the bottom of both of the devices for quick and efficient charging. Luckily for you, both devices can last you a couple of days of vaping before needing a recharge.

User Interface and Navigation

With all the power available and different vaping styles achievable with these devices, how do you navigate and make the vaping experience suited to your style?

There is no need to worry with the Xlim V2 and the Xlim Pro; you are treated to a large 0.42-inch screen on the front of both devices, where you can change the settings to personalise your vaping session and see all the vital information about your device like the puff count, battery charge and more.

To navigate the screen, you use the power button. On the Xlim V2, it is found just below the screen and on the Xlim Pro, it is found on the side of the device. With the power button, you can change the wattage level and switch from button draw to simple auto-draw.

To give some unbiased extra points in the race, with the Xlim Pro, you get a glittering RBG light strip below the screen, which activates as you use the device. Now, for me, that is a real game changer.

The V2 and V3 Oxva Xlim Pods

Fortunately, the Oxva Xlim Pods will not make or break your choice between the two devices, as you can use both the V2 and V3 pods with either device!

This is a plus for the user, as you can use either version of the pods, regardless of which device you own. However, the 0.4Ω style pod is designed to be used only with the Xlim Pro for the purpose of RDL vaping through the stronger and bigger 1000 mAh battery.

The V2 and V3 Oxva Pods are highly leak-resistant and perfected MTL/RDL vape pods. However, another main difference between the two is that the V3s are top-filling pods, whereas the V2s are side-filling pods. This is a plus for the V3 pods, as you can refill them without having to remove them from the device.

As for performance, both versions of the Oxva Xlim pods will perform exceptionally, and they will deliver a similar experience if you’re using the same coil option in either version. Just make sure you’re using the corresponding e-liquid for your chosen pod, either Nicotine Salts or Freebase Nicotine E-Liquid.

If you like simplicity and want a more hassle-free way of vaping, check out the Oxva Xlim Prefilled E-Liquid Pod Cartridges. They come pre-filled with vape juice, so all you have to do is pop them in the battery device, and you're ready to go. Or get the Oxva Xlim Pro Pod Kit + Xlim Prefilled Pod Bundle for a ready-to-go set-up straight out of the box.

Overall Verdict

We’ve gone over the ins and outs of the Oxva Xlim V2 and the Oxva Xlim Pro, and all we can say is that they’re both perfect examples of what a starter MTL vape kit should be, simple and easy to use with plenty of coil options and a long-lasting battery.
