About MTL Vape Coils
Like all vape coils, MTL coils take power from the battery and heat up to vaporise the e-liquid in the tank, which you then inhale.
MTL (Mouth-to-Lung) vape coils are designed for devices that replicate smoking tobacco. The vapour goes into your mouth first and is then inhaled into your lungs. MTL vapes have a tighter draw, high resistance coils, and a lower wattage. This makes them ideal for nicotine salts and higher-nicotine e-liquids.
Because they’re designed to replicate cigarettes, MTL vape coils produce much less vapour, making them more discreet for everyday use. This also means they’re easier for beginners to get used to, providing a flavourful and smooth throat hit. Disposable vapes are all MTL devices, so if you’ve moved over to something like a pod kit or starter kit, these vape coils will be the most similar to what you’ve been using before.
Also, because they use less power, they tend to last longer which makes them perfect for vapers who want a simple, hassle-free vape experience.
MTL Vape Coils FAQs
What are mouth-to-lung vape coils?
Mouth to Lung (MTL) vape coils are the closest you can get to replicating cigarettes as they use the same process. The tighter draw and smoother experience makes them perfect for beginners, such as those moving over from cigarettes or disposable vapes. Because they use a lower wattage, they tend to last longer and are ideal for use with nicotine salts and freebase nicotine.
What is the best ohm for an MTL vape coil?
Anywhere between 0.7Ω to 1.2Ω is the sweet spot for MTL vape coils as these give ample room for experimenting, as well as being perfect for low-powered vape kits. On the lower end, you’ll get higher flavour reproduction and larger clouds but it’s closer to RDTL vaping - if you want full flavour, this is the one to go for. At the other end of the scale, you’ll get a smooth and simple vaping experience similar to disposables. If you want to be discreet or have something you can use all day, every day, this is the best choice.
Which coil is the best to replicate disposable vapes?
1.0Ω MTL vape coils and above, used with nic salts, are the best to replicate disposable vapes as closely as possible. These coils work with low-powered pod kits and nic salts in popular fruity and menthol flavours that resemble disposable vapes. Because they’re so popular, you can choose from a huge variety of flavours to suit your tastes.
What e-liquids are best with MTL vape coils?
Nicotine salt e-liquids and freebase nicotine e-liquids work best with MTL vape coils. All of your favourite brands such as Elf Bar, Lost Mary, SKE and more produce vape juice in this form, so you give yourself the best range of options. What’s more, you can make the most of our multi-buy deals to keep the costs as low as possible.
