Priming Aspire Coils

Priming your Aspire coils is a very simple task and increases the longevity of your coils massively. 

1. Fill your pod or tank with e-liquid
2. Let it saturate into the coil for 5 minutes
3. Your coil has now been primed - vape and enjoy.

This allows the e-liquid to soak in the coil and give you the vapour and flavour you expect.

This process prevents premature coil burnout and it prolongs the lifespan of your coils. Our Coil Priming Guide has more details.

When to replace your Aspire coils

There are multiple signs to look out for which will tell you that your coils have reached the end of their lifespan and it’s time for replacement:

Coil Burnout

• Burnt Taste
• Losing Flavour

If you’ve been vaping with the same coil for over a week and you’re losing flavour from your e-liquid or getting a burnt taste, it’s a clear sign that your coils are ready to be replaced. 

Properly priming your coils will prevent premature coil burnout, extending the life of your coils and stretching your budget.

The fix:

Burnt coils need to be replaced. Make sure to follow our Coil Priming Guide.

Oversaturated coil

• Coil gurgling
• E-liquid not vaporising

If you don’t vape often and you let the e-liquid sit in your tank for too long, the coil can become flooded. This will lead the coil to not be able to efficiently vaporise the juice and you may hear the coil gurgling.

The fix:

Flick the device and attempt to get the extra juice to drop out from the mouthpiece and into a tissue.

Leaking coil

• E-liquid leaks
• Coil not activating

If you’ve made a mistake while filling your tank/pod, the e-liquid might leak and prevent the coil from working.

The fix:

Take your vape kit apart, give it a clean, and put it back together. A coil could be misaligned, or a tank screwed on incorrectly, so double-check before writing the coil off completely. If you still can't get it to work, your coil may be faulty and need replacing.
