Looking to Vape CBD? Look no further...
If you’re one of the hundreds of thousands of people in the UK that have caught onto the potential health benefits of CBD, and want to try it for yourself, we’ve got you covered!
Vape UK has been supplying high quality, TPD compliant vaping merchandise for over five years. We are highly recommended by our customers for our premium products, fast delivery times, first-rate customer care, and expert knowledge of all things vape.
Two years ago we started to see a massive rise in the number of customers asking if we stocked CBD oil as an e-liquid. Such was the demand, we decided to research further into the efficacy of CBD oil. Needless to say, we were stunned by what we discovered.
CBD oil on trial
CBD oil has so many potential benefits that we felt we just had to put it on trial.
Initially we stocked a small range of top quality, organic CBD oil e-liquids and asked our customers (and colleagues) to report back on their findings. The feedback was outstanding. From there, we knew we needed to learn more, and stock more options.
Vape UK CBD was launched
As the range grew, we hit an unforeseen stumbling block. Unfortunately, certain payment providers are restricted by regulations from outside the UK. This meant that, even though CBD oil is totally legal in the UK, we were advised to remove all CBD related products from our site.
We obviously didn’t want to take these products away from our customers - especially as they were reporting such amazing results to us. However, we also couldn’t unlink from the payment providers as our longstanding vaping clientele was accustomed to having the option.
So, we made a decision to launch a separate sister site that would be purely dedicated to CBD products, but wouldn’t be affiliated with the payment providers that would be conflicted by the purchase of CBD. This also allowed us to create a blog that focuses specifically on CBD research and advice.
CBD in summary
Maybe you’ve been reading this post and wondering what it’s all about. You could be thinking, “what on earth is CBD?” Well, as mentioned above, we now have a site where you learn about CBD to your heart’s desire. However, perhaps you just need a brief summary to convince you to click through to that site and find out more, so here goes…
CBD is short for cannabidiol. It is one of the most amazing, and most prevalent, nutrient compounds, known as cannabinoids, found in the hemp plant. Hemp is part of the cannabis sativa family and has been used for centuries, alongside its marijuana sibling, for the health benefits of its cannabinoid properties.
Cannabinoids are substances that bind to special receptors on the cells in your body that are part of your extensive endocannabinoid system.
The endocannabinoid system is a vast network of cell receptor proteins with many functions. These cell receptors are found all over your body; they are in your brain (central nervous system), your organs, your immune system, your skin, your digestive system, your reproductive system - basically everywhere!
Your endocannabinoid system plays a vital part in controlling many of your body’s functions including mood, pain, movement, appetite, sleep, cognition, and response.
CBD as a cannabinoid is able to bind to, and affect, these cell receptors because they match the structure of the cannabinoids that we produce within our own bodies. This is the reason why cannabinoids like CBD are showing such positive results with health conditions that are linked to a breakdown in our endocannabinoid system.
Other cannabinoids, such as THC, are present within plants of the cannabis sativa family and show similar benefits to CBD. However, THC is a psychoactive cannabinoid as is not legal at this time in the UK. For this reason, people are choosing CBD as it is totally non-psychoactive, won’t get you stoned, but can offer great results.
For too many years, CBD had been overlooked by medical professionals because the high-inducing effects of THC took centre stage. Thankfully, the medical industry has recognised the benefits of CBD as a standalone cannabinoid and positive research results are starting to roll in.
In October 2016, the law changed and products containing CBD from certified hemp strains are now recognised by the MHRA (Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) to be medicinal. All of our CBD products use CBD oil that has derived from legal strains of the hemp plant.
