Vaping is at risk – send your message to Rishi Sunak

Right now the Government is asking for your views on vaping, while they consider restricting them.

We believe there is lots the government can do to protect children from vaping (such as stopping shops selling to them), but they don’t need to restrict access for adult vapers trying to quit smoking.

These policies could make it impossible for you to get flavoured vapes, have shops hide vapes away like cigarettes, and ban the sale of disposables.

As such, we need your help to make sure that Rishi Sunak doesn’t make it harder for people to access these life saving products.

Many of the questions they ask make it sound like anti-vaping laws are certain. Please answer as you like, but remember, some questions which are clearly anti-vaping are optional – so don’t feel you need to answer if you don’t want to. A list of questions that we recommend answering is below.

Below are some of the key questions that could significantly impact your access to vaping. Please answer the questions you want to, but how we and UKVIA are answering these questions is below.

Section One: Legislating to create a smokefree generation

Q: Do you agree or disagree that the age of sale for tobacco products should be changed so that anyone born on or after 1 January 2009 will never be legally sold (and also in Scotland, never legally purchase) tobacco products?
