XROS 5 and 5 Mini Performance Comparison
Regarding first impressions, both devices are clearly outstanding vape kits. The looks, quality, performance, and device build are unmatched.
This is, of course, expected from a brand like Vaporesso and their highly sought-after XROS Series. Whichever device you’re looking to choose, you cannot go wrong - both are very simple to use and have similar output performances, both in flavour delivery and cloud production.
This is because they have the same battery size, 1500mAh, and they use the same pod platform, the XROS COREX 2.0 pods. So you are guaranteed exceptional flavour delivery for days on end. Plus, they both charge back to full rapidly, and the refillable pods will last you up to two weeks before needing replacement.
Again, for first impressions, I wouldn’t expect anyone to have trouble using these kits; they’re pretty simple and great for regular vapers. When choosing one for yourself, it comes down to whether you want a screen on your vape for more customisation or you’re happy with a more straightforward and hassle-free vape that you don’t need to worry about in your day-to-day life.
While testing them, I used both the Vaporesso Deliciu Watermelon Ice and Strawberry Raspberry Cherry Ice flavours in 10mg strengths in the 0.8Ω COREX 2.0 pods. The flavour replication is exceptional, and depending on how you’ve set the airflow, you can get more discreet or robust clouds.
Again, this is just Vaporesso proving how great they are at creating some of the best pod kits around right now. The latest releases make it easy to see why many opt for the XROS Series.
Vaporesso XROS 5
The XROS 5 comes with a 0.88-inch HD screen, which allows you to choose and configure settings like the background theme and power modes (ECO, NOR, PWR) and monitor things like your puff count and battery level.
These things benefit vapers looking to customise their experience and use them to their advantage in their quitting journey. I love the different themes available; some even have an animation that comes on as you vape.
The real benefit of this vape kit comes from puff counting, power setting and seeing your battery percentage. They help you monitor your usage, choose a power mode that aligns with your needs, and keep an optimal charge on your device.
I recommend this vape kit to those who are ready to try a vape with a screen but may have been put off by all the controls and settings they need to learn. With the XROS 5, it’s as simple as 1,2,3,4,5, as Vaporesso put it.

Vaporesso XROS 5 Mini
The XROS 5 Mini is the ideal vape kit for just about anyone. It’s simple, reliable, and will perform the same as the XROS 5 but without the screen to worry about.
Like every other pod kit, it has a USB-C charging port on one side and an airflow control system on the other. Plus, you get a nice tidal LED light to indicate your battery percentage, which is just as useful as good-looking.

Again, both kits will have similar output due to their same battery size and using the same pod platform, so the main difference is the customisation ability.
I would recommend this vape kit to just about anyone, but it is more geared towards beginners. It is a simple kit that doesn’t require much attention–just charge it, fill your pod, and you’re ready to go.
I would pair either vape kits with nicotine salts, freebase nicotine e-liquids, or 50/50 shortfills for those looking to lower their nicotine intake–and all options will go perfectly with any of the COREX pods ranging from 0.4Ω to 1.2Ω.
Final Remarks
So, to close out the review, the only thing I really have to say is that if you’re in the market for a new vape kit, you should definitely check these out. I personally give them a 5/5 all around. In the time I was testing them and writing this review, I have yet to find a fault to make a note on, and I have not been able to.
When you compare the XROS 5 and 5 Mini to others in the market, you may think they’re pretty simple devices, but they stand out and outperform because they excel in everything they offer.
