Monthly purchase limits: helping our duty-free stock reach more customers

We’ve introduced temporary monthly purchase limits on selected products to help our remaining duty-free stock reach more customers during the Vaping Products Duty sell-through period.

We know these limits may affect how you normally shop, so we want to explain why we’ve introduced them, how they work and how long they’ll remain in place.

Why have we introduced purchase limits?

We carefully planned our duty-free stock to support customers well into the government’s six-month sell-through period. EHowever, exceptional demand around the introduction of Vaping Products Duty means that stock has been selling much faster than expected.

This is particularly noticeable with shortfills,, where duty will add considerably to the cost of larger bottles. We understand why customers have wanted to buy ahead and keep the cost of their regular supplies manageable.

We also want customers who buy smaller amounts regularly, or cannot afford to stock up in advance, to have a fair opportunity to access the remaining duty-free stock.

Monthly purchase limits help us balance those needs. They cannot guarantee that every product will remain in stock throughout the sell-through period, but they will help us make the stock we have available to more people.

Monthly purchase limits explained

The following limits apply to each product variant (SKU), such as a specific flavour, nicotine strength and size.

Product type Monthly max per variant
10ml nicotine shots 100
Shortfills, all sizes 6
10ml e-liquids 50
Prefilled pods, any size 30
Prefilled pod kits, all volumes 5

These allowances apply to each variant separately. For example, the limit of 50 bottles of 10ml e-liquid applies to one particular flavour, strength and size, rather than to all 10ml e-liquids combined.

Can I still place more than one order?

Yes. You can continue placing multiple orders, but purchases of the same product variant count towards its monthly allowance across all of those orders.

For example, if you buy 30 bottles of a particular Blueberry 20mg nic salt, you can buy another 20 bottles of that exact product within the same monthly allowance. Once you reach 50, you’ll need to wait until your allowance resets before buying more of that variant.

You can still purchase other variants, subject to their own limits and availability. Placing a separate order does not create a new allowance for a product you’ve already purchased.

What happens if an order exceeds a limit?

Please check what you’ve already purchased before placing another order.

Any order that takes you above a monthly product limit will be cancelled in full and refunded. It will not be reduced to the permitted quantity or partially fulfilled.

We want to make this clear so you can avoid an unexpected cancellation, including where several smaller orders together exceed an allowance.

How long will the limits stay in place?

The purchase limits will remain in place throughout the government’s six-month sell-through period, or until our duty-free stock of the relevant product runs out, whichever happens first.

Availability will vary between products, and a monthly allowance does not reserve stock or guarantee that a particular variant will remain available.

Thank you for your understanding

We know purchase limits can be frustrating, particularly when you’re trying to plan ahead. We haven’t introduced them lightly.

Our aim is to give as many customers as possible a fair opportunity to access the duty-free stock we carefully planned for, including those shopping for their usual supplies a little at a time.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
